Samsung in an official press release has finally confirmed the date for Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event. The event is scheduled for August 7, and the company is all geared up to launch their much-anticipated smartphone offerings of the year, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. We’re also expecting to see the launch of Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch at the special event in New York City.
Obviously, there’s not much that we don’t know about the phablets. We’ve seen how it would look like through leaked renders, and the specs of the devices have been revealed through reliable sources. The Galaxy Note 10 will be the successor to last year’s Note 9, that has been regarded as the “Best Phone of the Year” by Consumer Reports organization.
In case you didn’t catch up, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will come with a 6.3-inch screen with a display resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels while the bigger Galaxy Note 10+ will feature a 6.8-inch screen with a display resolution of 3040 x 1440 pixels. The difference between the models doesn’t end there — the normal variant is expected to feature 8 gigs of RAM and 3500mAh battery while the Plus model might feature 12GB of RAM and 4300mAh battery. Other specs remain the same, meaning both handsets will be powered by Snapdragon 855+ chipset, and have 256GB of onboard storage, 10MP front-facing camera, and triple cameras on the rear (12MP+16MP+12MP). The Note 10+ might be available in 512GB storage variant as well, which is not quite surprising as its predecessor was available in similar storage variants.
As for the Galaxy Watch Active 2, the 44mm smartwatch is said to come with a 1.2-inch 360×360 display, 768MB RAM, 4 gigs of internal storage, and will be powered by an Exynos 9110 chipset. It will be available in two variants, with one featuring a 247mAh battery and the other one with a 340mAh battery. It will be MIL-STD 810G certified and will offer up to 5ATM water resistance, along with other features including ECG and heart rate monitor, and fall detection. Connectivity options will include Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, and LTE (on select variants).
