Finally, there seems to be competition in the tablet market space currently dominated by Apple’s iPad. Samsung announced it’s Galaxy Tab S6 and it has a fair amount of improvements over the last generation Tab S5.
The tablet features a Snapdragon 855 chipset with 6GB ram,128 GB storage, and an 8GB ram,256 storage variant. The tablet is 10.5 inches in size and comes with an AMOLED panel with 2560*1600 resolution. It also seems tablets are finally getting improved cameras. The Tab S6 comes with two cameras on its back. The primary camera is a 13MP shooter and the secondary camera is an ultrawide one. There is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The speakers also support Dolby Atmos, and along with the 10.5-inch screen can provide a very pleasant multimedia consumption experience.
The Tab S6 comes with a 7,040 mAh battery and the S Pen has an inbuilt 0.35 mAh battery that can last up to 10 hours of use. The S Pen is greatly improved over the last generation, it can do all the operations as seen on the new S Pen on the Galaxy Note 9. It can essentially work as a remote for your multimedia player or act as your camera switch when taking photos.
The device also comes with an under the screen fingerprint scanner, and finally, the device supports Samsung Dex which can turn the tablet into a PC if you attach a supported keyboard.
The device is available in 3 color variants – Mountain Gray, Cloud Blue, and Rose Blush starting at $649 for the 6GB/128GB version and the 8/256GB variant will cost you $729.
