Motorola One Action smartphone confirmed to launch tomorrow, 16th Aug

Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Motorola will launch their much-anticipated budget offering of the year dubbed Motorola One Action tomorrow, 16th August, as has been confirmed by Motorola Brasil’s Twitter handle. Now as if that wasn’t already enough, reliable tipster Roland Quandt has shared what appears to an official promotional poster of the device tagged with a Portuguese text that roughly translates to “First Action Camera Ultra Wide”.

Like the label suggests, the highlight of the handset will, of course, be the triple camera setup on the rear, which is rumored to be housing a 12MP main sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. Aptly named One Action’s 16MP ultra-wide sensor on the rear will offer a field of view of 117 degrees, similar to what we’ve seen in action cameras. The camera on the front is said to be a 12MP single snapper.

We also know from previous leaks that Motorola One Action will be powered by Samsung-manufactured Exynos 9609 octa-core chipset, along with 4GB of RAM. Other expected specs include 6.3-inch FullHD+ display, 128GB of built-in storage with provision to expand via a microSD slot, and 3500mAh battery. As for the software side of things, the phone will run Android 9.0 Pie based on Android One out of the box.

This incoming budget offering from Moto will echo their recently released One Vision handset for the most part, except that the former will have three cameras on the back instead of two. There are also rumors of two other variants that might likely debut tomorrow along with One Action, one of them being a Pro variant (Motorola One Pro) with 4 cameras on the rear and the other one is an Amazon Alexa-powered model (read: not an Android One device) that will likely echo the specs of One Action.
