Airtel launches 4G services in Karnal and Yamunanagar

Spoiler: To celebrate the new expansion, Airtel now gives 10GB of 4G data for just Rs 995.

After recently announcing plans for 4G trials in Delhi, the telecom giant has decided to launch its 4G services in Haryana’s Karnal and Yamunanagar. Airtel customers in Karnal and Yamunanagar will be able to access high-speed internet through dongles, wi-fi modems, and mobile. You can now purchase 4G dongles and 4G WiFi routers either from official Airtel stores or order from their website online. 4G services are able to provide speeds upwards of 100 Mbps which is almost 10 times faster than what 3G services currently provide.

Airtel was the first to launch wired 4G broadband services back in 2012. Airtel 4G services are now available in most major cities in India including Bengaluru, Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad, Mangaluru, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Nagpur, Phagwara, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Mohali, Moga, Bathinda Patiala.

Airtel has also introduced a  promotional 4G internet pack that offers 10 GB of 4G data for Rs.995. Home Wi-Fi CPEs priced at Rs.2500/- are bundled with 4G data plans and are now available at select retail outlets in Karnal and Yamunanagar. Earlier, Airtel had scheduled June 18 for starting their trial 4G runs in many parts of Delhi. The 4G plans available are similarly priced as the 3G plans but with 4G speeds. Recently Reliance also announced their plans for 4G trials in Delhi this year, as they are nearing the completion of their 4G infrastructure in Delhi.
